Bed sores is a condition to those people who are bed ridden for an extended period of time and stay in one position for too long without shifting their weight. A person is likely to get a pressure ulcer if he uses a wheelchair or is confined to a bed. even for a short period of time (for example, after surgery or an injury) as the continuous pressure against the skin reduces blood supply to that particular area and the effected tissues dies. Bed sores cuts off the bodys blood circulation especially to the vulnerable areas of the body such as the back, elbow, ankles, heels, hips, and the tail bone. These areas are not well- padded enough by the bodys muscle or fat.
